Leave Work Behind and Enjoy the Weekend

Can be found in the Category: Vacation, Work/Life Balance - 01 Jun 2007

The work week has come to a close and the weekend begins.

Next week is my last full week before I head out of town for the second half of June for vacation. It is hard to stay focused as your vacation approaches. Thoughts of the beach keep creeping back into my head, especially during a particularly dull meeting.

Is Friday your day to shut down? Do you leave the office garage with all of the troubles at work behind? Can you shut off the valve to the source of all the underlying stress?

Do you check office email during the weekend? If so, why? Don’t you have the right to spend your days off free from the weight of the corporate monster sitting on your back?

My thoughts have turned to the sound of laughter coming from my children as they go wild at the pool. My kids and I make so many memories. It is such an awesome thing!

Whether you have kids or not, make some memories this weekend. Don’t check your email at work, forget whatever you were wrestling with at the office, and live life.

Have a great weekend.

Cool about the upcoming vacation to the beach. A thought about Jill already prepared with her beach ball popped up, but I won’t go there. LOL

    Have fun.
