End of Vacation - An Introspective Time For Us
My posts are short and scarce this week as our two week vacation comes to an end. This is the first time in my career that I carved out two consecutive weeks for a family getaway.
It has been awesome!
If you can do it, plan a two week vacation next year and make a pledge to yourself that you will leave work behind, including the ball and chain we call email.
I am more relaxed than I have been in years and I do not have any angst about returning to real life. Typically I do a fair amount of reflection before returning back to everyday life.
I ask myself questions like:
“Should I sell the house?”
“Should we move to another city for a change?”
“What am I doing with my life?”
“Am I happy with my life?”
“Do we want any more children?”
Our questioning went a little deeper this time.
More on that as it develops.

I hope the “Do we want any more children?” has been answered already. Because…well, it’s a bit late to say “no.”
Unless you’re talking about NEXT year. Because “no” sounds more feasible in that light.
I think.
