Should I Stay Or Should I Go
So many people ask this question during the last several days of the year. There is an artificial boundary between the present and the future during the lure of a new time or “year.”
Why do so many seasoned corporate workers send their resumes out during this time. Perhaps you have seen an increase in your LinkedIn requests recently. People are on the prowl.
Why?
The New Year marks a new beginning. It evokes a passion within the corporate weary that there is a better life. Something better than their present situation. For many there is seemingly a better life out there in the jungle. For others, corporate nirvana continues to elude them.
For the entrepreneurs who have been suppressed or oblivious to their talents, the New Year often delivers a huge surprise. There is a tangible forward moving motion, an electrical surge that occurs when the clock moves forward minute by minute towards the next year.
If you feel the inclination to break out of your box, please take this opportunity to do so. We all owe it to ourselves to follow our passions. Sometimes it takes many years for us to discover where the root of our passion lies.
Ask yourself some important questions as the New Year approaches:
1) Am I happy?
2) Am I living my passion?
3) Do I feel I need move forward to the next step?
4) Am I in a place where I can continue to grow exponentially?
5) Am I in the right place at the right time?
The New Year approaches and I hope you make the most of it.
